Hi Kristi,

On March 27, 1999 Sam Butcher was in Miami, Florida at the Christmas Shoppe. The store was having a contest called "Design Your Own Precious Moments Figurine", and they were giving away the Century Circle piece "In God's Beautiful Garden of Love."

Well I didn't have that piece and I REALLY wanted it, plus the store was going to give all the drawings to Sam at the end of the event, so I wanted to make them really special just for him.

I entered 6 drawings and one of mine won!! I was SO excited taking that special picture with him. When they gave him the drawing, he told me he thought it was beautiful, and that he was going to make it for me! I couldn't believe it! You can imagine I was on cloud 9!

You know I had Never met him before, but I read so much about how devoted to God he was, and I just couldn't wait to meet him. I was NOT disappointed. He is absolutely one of the kindest, sweetest persons I have ever met. He truly demonstrates God's love. He has forever a special place in my heart! Oh, and by the way, I'll tell you when I do get the piece!!
